The international sugar price movements today began rolling, the government recorded a decrease of USD 500, this causes the domestic price of sugar began to fall in the range of USD 200 to USD 300.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Agriculture and Marine Krisnamurthi when met at the office of the Minister of Finance, Jalan Wahidin Raya, Jakarta, Wednesday (9/9/2009).

“So if the world price down and we did not do anything it can play a trader margin still. But if now the world price down and we do the operation of markets, traders also played margin thinkers,” he said.

Bayu said he was optimistic in the short term, reduction in sugar prices will occur. But in the long run certainly had its price movements.

“6 months ahead is not certain. There will move us look analyzed is uncertain, there is rising and there are down. We hope the best for us,” said Bayu. (more…)
